Andrew B. Clark, better known in social circles as “The Brand Chef,” founded what was to become SPOKE Communications in the fall of 2009. With over 25 years in marketing communications, specifically in the fields of integrated digital marketing, print graphic design services, social media strategy design and development, Andrew’s career has provided results-driven successes for his partners and clients.

Author of the TRUE Branding™ Workbook, Andrew works with clients to help build brands and execute TRUE Brand marketing strategies that connect with a motivated target audience.

Andrew is also an accomplished illustrator, cartoonist, photographer, and videographer, giving those he works with a full spectrum of creative “juice” to empower each and every campaign.

Sharon L. Clark brings over a decade of digital community management and administration to the SPOKE Communications team. Through content marketing strategies and social media management, Sharon works to help amplify  our clients’ voices.

Sharon also runs the day-to-day operations for SPOKE Communications. Most likely, when you call, she’ll be the first voice you hear. From there she helps maintain project accountability, tracking and billing.

Ever a consummate perfectionist, you can count on complete attention to each and every detail when working with Sharon. If you have a question about your account, your editorial content schedule, or resourcing targeted audience data for an upcoming direct response campaign, the answer will likely come from her.

Jim Oglesby is an award-winning creative professional, graphic designer and marketing specialist. Combining a mix of business marketing strategy and creative concepts, he works with marketing managers and owners of companies both large and small to increase their brand awareness and sales results.

Jim’s career started in 1988 when he helped create, and eventually manage, the internal communications and marketing departments of a large Des Moines insurance company. In 2000, he launched Oglesby Creative Group, a design and marketing firm helping start-ups and struggling companies increase their market share, specializing in business-to-business marketing for the agriculture and manufacturing industries.

Jim is dedicated to helping to get you to that next level, no matter where you are in the process right now.

Larry Cotlar Spoke Communications Public and Media Relations

Larry Cotlar
Public / Media Relations

Larry Cotlar joins Spoke Communications as its Media and Public Relations specialist. He adds this to his responsibilities as the Media Coordinator for the Lupus Foundation of America, Iowa Chapter.

Cotlar has been a fixture on the Des Moines media scene since 1981. He has hosted sports talk shows at WHO, KXNO and KGBB Radio and is currently hosting “Cotlar and Company” on 1350 ESPN. In addition, Cotlar has been the play-by-play radio voice of the Drake Bulldogs since 2005. Cotlar has also been associated with Iowa Barnstormer radio and television broadcasts since 2008 and is a weekly guest on the “CW Iowa Live” television show on KCWI TV.

Cotlar is also the author of “The Biggest Rolodex in Sports” and a frequent contributor to the Iowa History Journal.
